We are well

There was this very (unusually) pretty white moth resting on the bathroom door 2 days ago.  It didn't move the entire time, even when we had the light on and off.

I found it alive on the carpet the next morning which was also unusual since Chubby would had shredded it apart overnight.

I had hubby released it back to the garden.  It crawled around hubby's hand before taking flight.

Then I saw the same moth resting on the carpet before I went to bed last night.  I still didn't think much of it since we are used to having anything from cricket to frog coming into the house.

Until this morning.

A small voice told me it's hubby's grandpa.

I got out of bed frantically looking for the moth.... but its long gone.

I had hubby called his mom and confirmed that grandpa passed away exactly a year ago yesterday.

We had forgotten the day.

I believe in God wholeheartedly, but this is the Chinese side of me...

Thank you for coming all the way to visit us, grandpa.

We often wonder how you are doing in Heaven and if you are happy there.

We are well.  But we miss you dearly grandpa.

創業

It's always been on the back of my mind about home based business.  Online shopping is a definite growing trend and although we have been doing quite well with the flea market business, it's not a stable source of income... quite frankly, it's 99% luck and 1% hard work.

So naturally we have been researching a new venture that hubby and I could do it together as a team.  It didn't take long to find something we both love and would most definitely profited from.

It's all in the preparation stage now, I am excited but exhausted at the same time.

Do what you love.

保險

The recent hot air balloon tragedy in Egypt was not the first of its kind.

The alarming fact is a lot travelers were unclear about the importance of travel insurance, in particular, what's covered and what's not.

We do a lot of travels and with our luck, from Tsunami, Bangkok airport shut down to earthquake in Japan, we had hit every recent disaster you could imagine.  We can't even begin to stress how important it is to read the fine prints.  No one should ever base their insurance selection on the price alone but, you will be surprised how many did.

It's a sad reality check.  I have had my own horrifying hot air balloon experience and sworn never again... but that's another topic for another day.

疤痕

In 1999, I was diving in Okinawa, Japan and got stung by a jellyfish which left a horrifying scar of the entire side of my back and leg.  That was the last time I go near the ocean.

14 years later the scar is no longer visible on my body and although I am still afraid to go into the water, I walked along the shoreline with my love one today who's so willingly hold my hand all the way.

That's why I count my blessing everyday.  I should be so lucky.
